Villa Sylva is a mythical villa with supreme view over the Ionian sea. Featured in several films over the years, Villa Sylva is splendidly situated in a prominent position at the apex of Kanoni, 40 meters above the sea, with a beautiful panoramic view looking southeast over the Ionian Sea and famous Pontikonissi (Mouse Island).

The 10 acre property has a main house with 12 bedrooms that sleeps up to 18 people. With its beautifully tended gardens, the property is well away from Corfu’s tourist crowds, yet offers you easy access to the restaurants and shops of Corfu town, only 20 minutes away from the Corfu Golf Club.

You can rent this property, starting at € 3.600,- per day. For more info, please visit the Collectionist website.

The villa played a prominent part in the first part of Roger Moore's For Your Eyes Only (1981). When 007 is in search for the Cuban hitman Gonzales, he traces him to his villa just outside Madrid. He is caught spying on Gonzales, and before he is taken away, Gonzales is perforated by an arrow from Melina Havelock's crossbow. All this action was filmed at Villa Sylva. Not in Madrid, but in Greece. Eventhough the villa itself can not be seen in the film, the pool area is still present and hasn't changed at all.

A previous visit to the site showed a deteriorated house and pool, but apparently the owner had the villa renovated to luxury standards.
