The Couples Sans Souci
The Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios
Long considered the “Jewel of Jamaica,” Couples Sans Souci sweeps guests into a kaleidoscope of natural beauty, island atmosphere and romance. A hidden gem set majestically against emerald mountains and Caribbean Sea, this Ocho Rios resort on Jamaica’s sunny northern Caribbean coast exudes a sense of solitude and intimacy. Its lush foliage and smaller footprint allows guests to lose themselves exploring its secluded stone pathways and storybook trails.

No matter which way the path winds, past colonial-style buildings and secret pavilions that extend over the ocean on the cliffs, you’re never more than a few steps away from stunning sea views.
The former location of the hotel's souvenir shop
A scene for Dr. No was filmed here in the early 60s, in which Bond is in Miss Taro’s room and shoots Professor Dent. The hotel rooms were totally rebuilt shortly afterwards, so you do not have to search for ‘Miss Taro’s room’. It simply isn’t there anymore.

More importantly, Guy Hamilton and his crew returned here in 1972, to use the hotel as the exterior location for Bond’s hotel room on San Monique in Live And Let Die. The hotel shop where Bond bought the Tarot cards used to be on the north side of the premises, but has also moved. It is now situated at the entrance gate.
