The Tropicana in Las Vegas
In 1955, Ben Jaffe, an executive of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, came to Las Vegas and bought a 40-acre parcel at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Bond Road (now Tropicana Avenue). The Tropicana was built to become the finest hotel in Las Vegas, featuring a Cuban ambience and South Miami Beach theme.

Located on the Las Vegas Strip, this Hilton Doubletree hotel offers 24-hour casino gaming, on-site restaurants and nightly entertainment.

In Diamonds Are Forever, it was 007's hotel. In the film Bond comments to Shady Tree and Morton Slumber he’s heard the Tropicana is 'quite comfortable'.
