Surrounded by a beautiful 400-year old Japanese garden, Hotel New Otani Tokyo is situated in central Tokyo and offers comfortable accommodation less than a 10-minute walk from 5 subway lines. Decorated with soft elegance, rooms include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a minibar. Some have views of the hotel's Japanese garden or the Tokyo skyline. Guests can experience Japanese culture at the tea ceremony room. Relaxation options include a sauna and spa with massage service.

Hotel New Otani features an incredible 32 dining options, ranging from international cuisine to authentic Japanese dishes – everything from French and Italian to tempura and teppanyaki. The Sky Restaurant offers revolving panoramic city views.
In 1966 the New Otani only consisted of one building. Its strange shape (three wings with a round, revolving restaurant on top) made it an excellent choice for a Bond location and the fact that the hotel had (and still has) one of the most beautiful landscape gardens of Japan only added to this.

The main building itself became Osato Chemicals, the exterior of the office building Bond forces his way into to copy the contents of the safe and later in the film meets with Mr. Osato and his beautiful assistant Helga Brand.

While all interior scenes were filmed at Pinewood, the exterior still looks exactly like it did back then. The marble pillars outside the front door are still there, as is the large parking lot you can see Aki drive through several times in the film.
The New Otani's
The New Otani landscape garden was also used as a location. When Bond is chasing the villain who killed Henderson, he’s is running through this garden. After tackling the enemy, a small fight takes place on a piece of grass with deer statues in the back. Although the gardens have been remodelled due to the hotel's 1980s expansion, the deer statues can still be found.

The garden's tea house and red bridge can also be seen in insert shots of the scene in which Bond is attacked by an infiltrator during the Ninja training, originally filmed at Himeji Castle.
