Luton Hoo Hotel & Spa in Luton
Beyond the magnificent facade of the Mansion House which greets guests on arrival, lies a 5 star hotel, which is like no other in the home counties. However, guests quickly discover that behind the imposing grandeur of Luton Hoo, the atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming.

In 1903 Luton Hoo was bought by Sir Julius Wernher, a leading diamond dealer who commissioned Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis, the architects of the Ritz Hotel in London, to redesign the interior of Luton Hoo in a lavish Edwardian ‘Belle Époque’ style.

Purchased by Elite Hotels in 1999, Luton Hoo Hotel & Spa opened in 2007 following an investment of more than £60 million and a painstaking restoration programme.
Luton Hoo as Shrublands, in Connery's final Bond film Never Say Never Again (1983)
Luton Hoo can be seen in many films. Both exterior and interior scenes were filmed here for Sean Connery's 1983 return as 007, Never Say Never again.

The Grand Staircase, inside the main house, was used in a small scene for 1999's The World Is Not Enough. When James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) breaks into Elektra King's residence in Baku, he finds himself at the bottom of the stairway pictured here.
